Banishing The Blemishes With Acne Medication

Tags: , , ,

Being a universal skin condition to adolescents and adults, the field of acne abounds with myths and fallacies and often, those who are beset with this condition are at a loss as to what the rational manner is in dealing with acne. Contrary to what a majority of individuals may think, acne is not a symptom of poor facial hygiene but it is a manifestation of abnormal reaction to hormones or overactive sebaceous glands.

Acne is prevalent during puberty as it is a phase of significant hormonal alterations. As for the sebaceous gland factor, it is the oil secretions from these glands which combine with naturally occurring dead skin cells which block the hair follicles thereby providing s perfect environment for the acne-causing bacteria to produce.

For acne treatments to be successful, two factors are essential- the choice of the suitable acne medication and its right usage. As no two varieties of acne are caused by the same elements, acne medication options generally differ, and the use of the wrong acne medication will not only prove to be a waste of time but it can cause permanent scarring in the long run as well.

One must therefore be wary in the endeavor of banishing those face or body blemishes. There is a wide array of acne medication to choose from but they are generally classified into three categories. First, there is over-the-counter acne medication which is easily accessible in any pharmacy or drug store.

OTC acne medication can be effective in curing milder forms of acne, but for those with chronic manifestations of the condition, it may be sensible to consult a professional for counseling and proper diagnosis. The second type of acne medication is prescription drugs which are highly individualized and prescribed by a qualified dermatologist after having ascertained the cause and severity of the acne condition.

Prescription acne medication can range from simple azelaic acid creams to Benzoyl Peroxide and Accutane for chronic acne cases. Prescription acne medication is not to be taken lightly like OTC treatments and they should be taken only upon the recommendation of a professional. The third group of acne medication is home-made remedies or those which are natural or herbal in nature.

There are those who doubt the efficiency of this measure, but contrary to their belief, natural acne medication can be effective owing to their herbal and organic properties. Natural and herbal acne medication can in fact show surprising results. It is best to resort to products which are gentle and more caring to the skin, otherwise the skin may be irritated with the application of harsh acne medication that usually contains alcohol that dries the skin.

Furthermore, it may be a sensible decision not to employ acne medication that contains drying agents such as Salicylic acid or Alpha Hydroxy acids. With the wide assortment of acne medication to choose from, it may seem like it is a puzzling arena of acne treatments out there, but once an individual chooses the right acne product, they may well be on the road to smooth and flawless skin.

Acnezine is a safe and proven product made available through our store and being made up of natural ingredients, it is more caring to the skin yet effective. Acnezine just might be the right acne medication that can restore the radiance of an untarnished beauty.
