There are basically countless of means for exercise when one is intent in the pursuit of health and fitness. It has well been a common knowledge that the best way to go for health and fitness is to adhere to a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. It is basically very elementary, but it has withstood time.
When searching for means to shed off excess pounds by sweating it out, there are varied exercises to choose from and the choice is often dependent on one’s desires, goals and capacity. Aerobic exercise can be one of the best means to attain a state of overall health and being fit as such exercises help an individual burn calories while doing wonders for the heart, the lungs and circulation.

The latter, jumping rope is considered as high impact aerobics, and by the sound of it, one may need to assess their physical capacity before incorporating jumping rope into their exercise regimen.

One does not even need to spend for gym membership fees as all that is required for one to jump rope is a small space.
Jumping rope is a tremendous fat burning exercise. As much as one may think that jumping rope is merely kids’ play, they may find that it is a fast and effective workout that has numerous benefits, one of them which is rapid burning of calories. Rather than jogging for 30 minutes or swimming for 12 minutes, one may well jump rope for 10 minutes at 100 to 120 reps a minute as the amount of calories burned from all three is the same.
In fact, when jumping rope, the heavier the person is, the more calories are burned. For instance, a 150 pound individual jumping rope for an hour can burn up to a whooping 750 calories! It is because an individual exerts more energy when jumping rope which is why one needs to be in good shape when doing the activity.
Initially when starting on jumping rope, it may be best to do it at a pace in which one is most comfortable in and to stop when they feel discomfort. The benefits of jumping rope are well worth the effort so it may be sensible to keep on trying although initially, one may find it difficult.
When a newbie to jumping rope, one may find themselves panting after a few jumps, but it may be best to acknowledge that exercise may require a conscious will and much effort at first, but through constant practice, the activity eventually becomes effortless. When jumping rope, an individual can also develop their athletic abilities- those that can help them with sports like football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, track and field and martial arts.
One may ask why so. It is basically because jumping rope is a high impact exercise and it can hone one’s abilities in activities that require a high level of performance. For those who want to become better athletes or merely to burn tons of calories, jumping rope may be the ideal choice for an exercise.
