Unresolved negative emotions on the other hand lead to the development of physical pains and diseases. A prominent principle of Emotional Freedom Therapy is that the body has energy points. Tapping on these energy points while thinking of a negative emotion alters the body’s energy field allowing balance to be restored.
The body’s energy system is linked to energy circuits, as asserted in the Emotional Freedom Therapy concept. These energy circuits are also known as meridians. Our emotional and physical health are directly affected by the state of these meridians. Once these meridians are tuned accordingly, it is when the body’s energy status is restored.
Emotional and physical disorders or irregularities can then be rectified, and natural growth and progress takes place. Through Emotional Freedom Therapy, you will learn how negative emotions affect your physical health. And in the first place, you will know what causes negative thoughts and emotions. Through Emotional Freedom Therapy, you would gain knowledge of how negative thoughts and emotions affect your energy levels.
And then ultimately, Emotional Freedom Therapy helps in restoring your body’s energy levels. Just how important is EFT? EFT is gaining more and more popularity. It has been acknowledged as one of the most effective and safest methods of treating emotional disorders, which in turn affect the state of physical health.
It has been proven to be beneficial in curing fear and phobias, releasing painful memories and negative emotions, eliminating fear of public speaking and even addictions. Depression and trauma are dealt with, and relationships become improved. Panic or anxiety and anger are resolved. Physical ailments relating to vision, headaches, asthma, allergies, blood pressure irregularities and diabetes are addressed as well.
So who devised Emotional Freedom Therapy? Gary Craig created the technique in the mid-1990’s. EFT was meant to be a simplification of the Thought Field Therapy devised by Roger Callahan. In the early 1990’s Craig trained with Callahan. It was in 1993 when Callahan trained Craig on a procedure known as Voice Technology.
Voice Technology was said to be Callahan’s most advanced procedure, and Craig gained the benefit of being the first person to learn it from Callahan. By the mid- 1990’s Craig simplified Callahan’s techniques. He observed through experience that the sequence of tapping points were less significant. Thus, he deemed that special proprietary procedures were unnecessary.
Hence came the massively popular Emotional Freedom Therapy.
