Most people connote beauty with physical looks. When somebody says “beautiful” what they would usually relate it with is the glamour of make up and clothes. Of those men and women lacing the glossy pages of magazines, or those on tv or in the movies. But such a definition is often superficial.
Those are qualities which can be altered, or can be tampered by human hands. Beauty has so much more to do than those. Such a quality is not only on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside. A person’s character or inner self are those which are more substantial.

They may not be so apparent on the first glance, but they are what matter. True beauty has to do with a person’s true nature. By this, it means beauty is what they really are. It is within the person, and it is the person. When somebody says “I am beautiful”, is this being beautiful in the real sense? Maybe it has to do with them looking in the mirror criticizing and judging themselves.
But the true essence of beauty is in seeing oneself and others through the eyes of the True Self. Take for instance by looking at a baby. The baby is fragile and adorable, such a delight to look at. What is the nature of a baby? Where babies are concerned, there is no judgment.
Babies have not yet been influenced by any conditioning. Babies are just what they are. They are neutral to themselves as well as to others. Everybody has been babies once. Being a baby means accepting oneself and others unconditionally. It's being in touch with the true beauty within and without.
It's having a complete sense of freedom. Not being bound by rules or prejudices or conditioning. It is simply being. Attuning with the beauty within means letting go of all judgments and criticism of the physical nature. No prejudices are imposed even on one’s mental and emotional selves. It's simply in accepting and living moment by moment in peace.
One ought to always remember that they have a choice. And that choice is to be rendered in choosing to be clear within and without. It's in remembering that one is worthy and deserving to live a beautiful and healthy life in every way. This is beauty- choosing to be free of biases and cleaving to goodness.
It's in accepting oneself and others through the eyes of the True Self. Only then can one feel the essence of freedom. Of loving and living and of being. The physical and the superficial self become trivial as one is in touch with their true essence. And that is far worth more fulfilling.
It is akin to bliss as one is not bound by criticisms or biases. Keeping in touch with one’s true nature gives one the liberty to be themselves. Because the true nature is pure, just like a baby’s. Looking at a baby, one can derive truth. In that fragile, delicate state, there is truth and beauty in its truest sense.
