Bad breath is, well, bad. It is certainly embarrassing when one gives off unpleasant odor when speaking. Having bad breath can give off a bad impression, like one doesn’t practice . Bad breath is otherwise known as halitosis, and it can affect one’s personal and professional life in a negative way. It is only necessary then that bad breath is addressed accordingly. When one is mindful of how others regard them and of their social etiquette, then halitosis has to be banished. For some people, halitosis is a chronic problem. Mints, mouthwash and gums may not be able to remedy the problem.

What is the best way to deal with bad breath? Primarily, one has to mind their oral hygiene. When brushing the teeth, one should particularly pay attention to the gums and the tongue other than the teeth. They have to be brushed thoroughly for at least two times a day, and then finish off with mouthwash. Good oral hygiene is essential for keeping the mouth clean. That way, there will not be an accumulation of bad breath-causing bacteria in the mouth. The mouth ought to be kept moist as well. This can help ward off halitosis. One has to take time drinking ample amounts of fluids everyday.



It would also be helpful if they always keep hard sugarless candies in their person. Keeping the mouth moist with fluids or hard candies will keep bad odor from bacteria in the mouth go away. This should help a person in being confident. They can get as close as they want without worrying about . Halitosis can also be caused by the foods which one has eaten. Especially aromatic food, they can make the breath odorous. Examples are onions and garlic. Sure they may be tasty, and they could even be healthy. But they can make a person suffer from halitosis.

When one is fond of those foods, they are rather best eaten during dinner time. There will be less chances of interaction after dinner, so lesser risks of halitosis causing havoc. And then again, aromatic foods are better not eaten during lunch time. In the middle of the day, people are more likely to interact with each other. When one intends to make a good impression especially for business, they better steer clear of aromatic foods for the meantime. These are basic means to get rid of halitosis. Doing so can help stop a person from feeling self-conscious. They can become confident knowing that they present fresh and .

That way, one can have a healthy social life, and interaction with others is smooth. If halitosis however becomes persistent despite these measures, then it may entail a professional’s attention. A visit to the dentist might be required when halitosis is severe. There could be other underlying conditions causing it which go beyond poor oral hygiene. Being mindful of how one makes an impression on others especially on matters of hygiene is essential. It is a prerequisite of being a social being, and to be able to have healthy relationships with others.
