What can be more devastating than aging with an incurable disease that virtually leaves the afflicted and those around them seemingly helpless? The inability to cope with that disease. As such, imagine the devastation of over 50,000 Americans and their families who are told of the disease called Parkinson Disease.
Usually those 60 are diagnosed with this, but people can get it before the age of 40. Once you get over the age of about 60, Parkinson Disease will be on the radar of doctors when new symptoms appear that are indicative of the disease. According to one piece of significant research, Parkinson Disease is more prevalent in men than in women.

 To date, Parkinson Disease is incurable, affecting the patient’s nervous system where the neuro-transmitters inside the brain start to malfunction. The diagnosis of this disease is a distressing time for any patient and anybody close to them. As a progressive condition, patients suffering with the condition have to come to terms with the fact that there is no hope of recovery, but rather a gradual process of loss of movement and co-ordination.
An early diagnosis of Parkinson Disease is vital to the patient being able to keep some independence, and a decent quality of life for a reasonable length of time. Clearly put, Parkinson Disease is a brain disorder marked by slowness, tremors, stiffness and a loss of balance. There may be no cure as of yet however support groups are highly available and within reach.
