Tags: , ,

The word “ecstasy” has a multi-faceted overtone. When in a state of ecstasy, a person experiences sensations akin to ultimate euphoria and bliss. Interestingly enough the word ecstasy can have sexual and religious connotations as well. Those emotional, mental or psychological situations that induce as state of peace is called ecstasy. The word itself brings to mind an alluring sensation. It is essentially implied with a positive feeling, one that is attractive to the senses. In fact, mental training packages being promoted in the market nowadays aim to deliver this state of euphoria. An ecstatic state can likewise be instigated by yoga sessions practiced in health clubs.

When aiming to divert from ordinary consciousness to an altered mental or emotional stance, ecstasy can be the suitable word. The word itself is not so much malign, but those who implicate it with the use of might think otherwise. Ecstasy is synonymous with the substance MDMA (3,4 Methylenedioxymethmaphetamine). Ecstasy pills are basically drugs that stimulate sexual sensations among its users. The oral form of ecstasy was patented by Merck, a German pharmaceutical company in 1914. Ecstasy pills since that time has been resorted to for several purposes. As ecstasy pills are capable of releasing inhibitions, it was recommended for patients undergoing psychotherapy in the 1970’s.

This measure enabled the psychotherapist to probe deeper into the mental workings of the patient. Likewise, ecstasy pills were a weight loss measure in those years having been initially formulated as an appetite suppressant. In some manner related to amphetamine and mescaline, ecstasy pills are variously known as “Adam”, “E”, “Doves” and XTC. Owing to its sexual stimulant properties, the word ecstasy has become appealing and popular in most countries despite the fact that the drug poses danger to the health. Experts were able to obtain findings that taking ecstasy can damage the brain. Such result was discovered through researches conducted in animals.

Consequently, were banned in 1986. Despite the certain danger, disobliging individuals still abuse this illicit drug. More alarming is the fact that ecstasy pills can be obtained over-the-counter in drug stores or with a doctor’s prescription in some countries. As ecstasy offers the tempting euphoria of manifesting the basic instincts and bringing about exceeding but artificial delight and joy from physical touch, ignorant and incautious teenagers use this drug prior to sexual activity. Being in the same genre as Cialis, Viagra and generic Viagra, ecstasy pills are in the same bracket as oral medications used to treat impotence or erectile dysfunction among men, although ecstasy pills can be consumed by both men and women.

When making ecstasy pills a recourse to address impotence, a doctor’s opinion must initially be sought as those with a weak heart or suffering from low blood pressure can be at risk when taking ecstasy pills. When weighing the options, however, the risks of taking ecstasy pills may outweigh the benefits as they can potentially destroy the brain cells permanently. It is either that will release the neurotransmitter serotonin or may inhibit it as it can possibly clog the terminal or synaptic nerve.
