From the sound of it, one can definitely conclude that food poisoning spells trouble. Food poisoning is an alarming health threat, and in extreme cases, it can cause death. It is only crucial that an individual takes proper measures to prevent the medical predicament of food poisoning. Food poisoning can arise when food is not properly stored, that is in the right place with the right temperature.
When it comes to this, one should well be aware that food stored at warm temperature is more apt to instigate the over-reproduction of organisms which can wreak havoc on the food. When one lives in an area with warm, humid climate, it is best that foods such as fruits and vegetables, most meats and dairy product be refrigerated or stored in a cool place to prevent the accelerated growth of bacteria and organisms.

To avoid exposure to food poisoning such as that of staphylococcus infections, liquid dairy products such as cream and milk should always be pasteurized and treated. Pasteurization can hamper bacteria growth in raw milk before it is heat treated. Such is also applicable to prevent food poisoning from other dairy products such as cheese and ice cream.
Food poisoning is also known to come from canned meats contaminated with staphylococcus, so it is best that such foods are sealed and sterilized properly. Other than such factors, one of the most common contributors of food poisoning is actually the hands. If an individual does not maintain good hygiene, they may find that they themselves, through their hands can bring about poisoning.
After all, those two inherent human implements are necessitated during food preparation. Preparation between raw foods and cooked foods can instigate food poisoning. To ensure that such an instance will not happen, particularly in preparing raw meat and poultry, it is best that the hands as well as the utensils are washed with warm, soapy water.
Other than that, the food should of course be thoroughly cleaned. Some of the basic rules of hygiene which can ward off food poisoning is to buy food from clean places and to ensure that their containers are clean as well. Family foods should be kept away from pet foods as well as utensils which go with them.
One should also always adhere to the basic rule of washing the hands before preparing food. Washing fruits and vegetables in running water before cooking and eating is a helpful measure against poisoning. When one has cuts and sores, it is also sensible that they are cleaned and well-covered when in the kitchen.
One can avoid food poisoning by keeping cooked foods either really hot or really cold. Reheating leftovers all the way through can decrease the likelihood of food poisoning. The same can be said with taking extra care when preparing foods. To keep food poisoning in check, stacked washed dishes should be drained, and when using a cloth for drying, one must ensure that the cloth is clean.
The lid in the kitchen bin should be kept as well to prevent exposure to food poisoning.
