This procedure is to be carried out as long as the woman can. Included in the Kegel exercises is what is termed as the elevator. A woman can imagine that there is an elevator in her pelvic region. This elevator is to be raised and lowered. A woman can start raising the elevator from the ground floor to the first floor.
Then from the first floor to the second floor. From the second floor to the third floor. Then she gradually allows the elevator to go down from each floor to the other, stopping at each floor. Once she gets to the ground floor, she can then completely relax the muscles exercised.
It takes time till this exercise can be mastered, but it is truly effective. The vaginal muscles are elastic and flexible just like all the other muscles. As such, they can be flexed and exercised. Kegel exercises are the most suitable exercises for the vaginal muscles. With Kegel exercises, a woman gains control of her vaginal muscles.
