Slim Or Not You Can Have Your Man

Tags: , , ,

2008-11-22Slim equates to sexy, and when you do not fall under this category chances are you’d feel frustrated. And especially when you are of the age which compels you to get into the dating arena. And the dating arena can be nasty place to be in. Competition can be overwhelming, and if you are anything less than intrepid, prepare for a possibly daunting defeat.

The dating arena, being a competitive field that it is requires one to be bearmed. Equip yourself with the most essential tools and you can be off with a partner you desire. What does it require for a woman to be able to win in the dating game? Normally, a woman is required to be attractive.

They say men are initially attracted to a woman physically. After all, what is seen as “attractive” attracts. But the question is, how long will the attraction last. Does it simply end in casual acquaintance out and in the bedroom, or will the initial liking move on to the next level? Attractiveness may be the primary criteria to gain a man’s attention, and you who feels inadequate in this regard is likely to feel intimidated.

You do not consider yourself slim or “sexy” and you dread the idea of dating. Mainly because you are petrified by the thought of the appalling “R” word- rejection. This is how it normally appears considering how movies and the television “revere” the glamorous. It is so easy to get caught up in the idea that the glamorous gets it all- popularity, prestige and the perfect partner.

So you think you will never be glamorous and should just settle for a monotonous, unexciting and eventually dreadful single life. But that’s not actually how it is. Step out of the movies and get into real life. See that you are a person, and that out there is a person who would see something worthwhile in you.

But for a certain person to see something in you, you’ve got to show yourself. Not just yourself, but the best of you. Appearances are skin deep, and if you make a man realize that you are more than superficial, show something substantial. You may not be slim, but you can be confident and witty.

More than those, you can also become more engaging by being sensible. Nothing can be more off putting than being shallow and putting on a façade. Make a man see that you are more than slim and pretty, but rather you are a real person, and one who is sincere.

And it’s not the maudlin sort of sincerity either. It’s basically just being a real person. One who has flaws and uncertainties, yet is able to smile and be confident. Level with the other person, see eye to eye when you are talking. And don’t just talk, but converse. Get your message across while at the same time listen.

As much as possible, make no room for pretense. If ever you would, make it reasonable. But what will make a man really drawn to you is that you are able to reach into him. There are men who have created somewhat of a block from themselves towards others. But if you, as a woman, slim or not, is able to get through this block, then you and him can form a connection.

And once this is established, the door to many other possibilities has opened. Consider dating not as a game, and don’t get caught up in the competition. You, as a woman and as a person ought to focus on living life as it is and being happy. Do not be consumed by what others expect of you or what you “must” do.

Find confidence and happiness in yourself first and you will see that you will become a natural magnet for love and your ideal partner.
