Tags: , , ,

Basic feature in every home regardless of the architectural design would have one thing in common – the medicine cabinet. May be a permanent fixture inside a bathroom or one of those movable kinds, the medicine cabinet has proven to be an essential part of planning and organizing your home. Basic inside this basic feature are shelvings and spaces for medicines that may be used for emergency cases or daily prescriptions.

Then add a small reminder or note so whoever opens it will see first hand that said level are for first-aid treatment. A medicine cabinet is also for daily or regular prescriptions so use another layer, shelf or space of the medicine cabinet solely for this. Do not mix these prescriptions to other medicines for general use.

And for your own guidance, stick a note on the inside that will be handy for you in case you need to check on frequency of the medicine’s intake. A note may also be added on when the next prescription is due. A medicine cabinet is likewise intended for medicines that are for regular use.

These medicines are over-the-counter types and because of its per-need basis, put also a reminder to check on the expiration dates. Medicine cabinet inside your homes is expected to contain what should be out of children’s reach so as a matter of precautions, place it in the upper part of your bathroom.

And do not place breakables inside. Chances are a bottle will accidentally fall and hit either your floor or the sink. Today a medicine cabinet do come in stylish forms that usually measures 32 inches high, 30 inches wide, and 21 inches deep. In most luxury bathroom units, the medicine cabinet can even be as extensive as a system made up of a bathroom vanity, a bathroom countertop, and various other types of cabinets.

In terms of style, medicine cabinet can be largely classified in two groups: traditional American-style cabinets and European-style cabinets. A traditional one is also often called framed cabinets. These cabinets make use of "face frames" to cover the raw front edges of the cabinet. A European-style medicine cabinet, on the other hand, is often called frameless cabinets.

Unlike the American-style, the raw edges of European-style medicine cabinet is concealed using simple trim strips. A medicine cabinet can also be classified as stock, custom, or semi-custom (or modular). Stock-kind is mass-produced and that is available in only a few standard sizes and styles. Because of these limitations, stock cabinet is often the least expensive type.

From simple boxes mounted above the sinks of most bathrooms, a medicine cabinet has evolved into major styling components in our bathrooms. Keep your medicines where it best should be - your medicine cabinet.
