Adding Warmth And Color To Pale Skin

Tags: , , ,

There are two sides to pale. On one hand it may look so pristine, on the other hand, others may regard it as looking lifeless - especially when it is pale skin. A woman with pale skin might appear dull and unhealthy. I myself often had to suffer from the same dilemma in the past.

I have translucent pale skin and I’m a red head. I had to experiment with varied sorts of make up so that I would look appealing, or at least “alive”. It took some time, but I came upon the right balance of shades and tones. For eye gloss, perfect is the gingery sheer shade.

A hint of shimmer across the top brings out my eyes and I put on lashings of dark brown mascara to emphasize them more. The apples of my cheek would look vibrant with dabbings of warm cheek tint. To create a cheery pout to my lips, I use the nude tone gloss and I just love how they would turn out.

Pale that I am, this artwork make me appear as lively. Color shades are emerging, and in your case they might work as well. I used gingery sheer because I’m a red head but yours might have to depend on your hair color. You may have to alternate tones and find out which is more suitable.

But first off, let’s discuss the basics. Foundation comes first in the art of applying make up. For your transluscent pale skin, look for a yellow or beige tint to your base. If the foundation does not contain a good amount of SPF, you will have to apply sunscreen prior to it.

What you should know is that pale skin is more prone to develop signs of aging, especially if you live in a sunny climate. Applying sunscreen beneath your foundation will slow down the effects of aging. You have to initially consider this of all your beauty regimen. A yellow or beige tone foundation can also cover up slight redness from acne if you happen to suffer from it.

The foundation will do a good job of adding warmth to your look. Take note of the color match between your base and your skin. Make sure that your base is not too dark, or else you it will seem like you are wearing a mask. Use your foundation to even out your skin tone, preparing it on to the next make up applications.

Try not to put too much bright colors on your eyes. A dash of them would do because they tend to be quite heavy on pale skin. I would recommend that you use sheer shimmers, soft pastels or natural hues with warm undertones. Experiment a little with the mascara. Apply it sparingly and see if it works fine with your eyes.

You may need to apply a taupe liner especially if your iris is pale. Taupe will be an ideal color to line and frame your eyes. Now you have to groom and line your eyebrows. Blond brow powder or smudged pencil might suit you well. You will need to add a more natural glow to your cheeks.

Richer tones like sheer plum cheek tints would be apt for this purpose. For lipstick, go for a deeper shade- this will contrast nicely with brown or red hair. For true reds out to have a dramatic evening look, find which is more seemly among brown-reds or berry shades for the lips.

Applying make up is an interesting and challenging artwork. But it can be fun, mixing and switching the shades until you find the right overall blend which brings out the best of you.
