Dark circles under eyes are often noticeable. A person can look haggard or sickly and plain just not healthy with dark circles under eyes. But what really causes them and what are the possible remedies? There are countless reasons why dark circles under eyes appear. For instance, they can be caused by insufficient sleep.
Or for others, dark circles under eyes can be a symptom of allergies. These are of course just to mention a few. At times, dark circles under eyes may require an immediate visit to the doctor. Some of the common culprits behind dark eye circles are the sun’s rays and poor nutrition. As for the sun’s rays, they may cause dark circles under eyes as that area is more likely to tan faster. The area under the eyes gets darker faster upon exposure to the sun’s rays than the rest of the facial skin.
Thus, this may explain those dark under eye circles. The same can be said with poor nutrition. Bright eyes are often an indication of good health. And so dark circles under eyes is a manifestation of the contrary. If a person does not have enough deep colored vegetables in their diet, it is likely that dark circles under eyes will appear.
To remedy this problem, one apparently has to incorporate more antioxidant- rich foods into their regular diet. And lack of sleep, they can cause dark circles under eyes. When a person had been tossing and turning the previous night or for the last two nights, then it is more likely that dark eye circles will become visible.
This is so as the more tired a person is, the more the skin allows blood under the eyes become noticeable. This makes the complexion under the eyes blue or darker, giving way to dark eye circles. Unfortunately for some, dark circles under eyes are all in the genes. If a parent has them, then it is more likely that their child will have the same appearance under their eyes.
How to get rid of dark circles under eyes? There are actually a number of ways. For one thing, there are bleaching products available in the market. When used regularly and carefully, the can cause dark circles under eyes to vanish. And there are also home remedies. For instance, applying cucumber or raw potato on dark circles under eyes can be helpful.
Rectifying the cause of the problem can also make a world of difference. If under dark under eye circles are caused by lack of sleep, then the remedy is obvious- one should get regular hours of sleep. So it is with poor nutrition. The answer is pretty evident. And so goes for dark circles under eyes.
They do significantly affect a person’s appearance, but remedies are always available when one takes the time.
