Weight issues can range from being merely bothersome to something disturbing. People put so much emphasis on how a person looks, and that’s just the way it is. And that’s why a majority sometimes struggle to the point of obsession to be attractive. Simply because they want to be acknowledged and given more due.

Physical attributes play a crucial role in being categorically attractive. Not only should one have a comely face, but more importantly, they should have an attractive physique. To put it plainly, having a “sexy body”. Sexiness is often defined by being slim and trim, especially for women. "Slim is in" in this day and age, and women just want to keep up with that standard.

There are even women who starve themselves to the point being emaciated. Skin and bones is regarded as “beautiful”, which is rather ironic. So many women are out into the quest to lose weight. In fact, it is to lose weight quickly rather than through healthy means. In this age of “quick fixes” and instant services, the word “patience” has become obsolete.

People have become so used to instant gratification, and that includes weight loss results. But an important point to consider is that the sole purpose of losing weight is to be in a state of optimum health. It means that for every scheme or program to shed off pounds and inches, health should be taken into account.





So a person wants to lose weight quickly. And granted that they indeed did so. What next, and is this all for good? Often times, quick weight loss schemes are unhealthy. There are countless of fad and celebrity diets which can make one lose weight quickly, but it doesn’t end there.

In a matter of days, a person may become slim, but would they look healthy? Or in the first place are they healthy? They might have been deprived of essential nutrients in the body. This can bog down the immune system and they can be susceptible to illness. And there are increased chances that an illness would strike sooner or later.

Looking closely, how would their skin look like? Is it smooth, radiant and supple? Or is it dry, rough and sagging? And what about their hair? If not masked by expensive shampoos and cosmetics, is it really healthy and shiny? More likely, their hair in its real state is dry, coarse and brittle.

So are the eyes - are they clear and bright? Or do they look bulging, cloudy and tired? These aspects are just to mention a few. You might be one of those who want to lose weight quickly. There are many ways for you to get what you want. But when you do lose weight quickly, would you be beautiful in the real sense? At a glance you may look svelte and trim.

But looking closely, will you not see so many flaws? In losing pounds and inches, think of what truly matters and what is essential. It’s not only being beautiful on the outside, but feeling good from within. Being in a state of overall wellness because you are totally healthy. Remember that weight loss is for being healthy, which is a worthy goal.
