It is true that there are many advantages of being fit and healthy. For one thing, there are the numerous health and wellness rewards. When one maintains a healthy weight, they are less likely to develop obesity related diseases. Such puts them in a better position to enjoy a better quality of life and longevity.

And for another thing, being trim has its cosmetic benefits- one would look better. This can give an added push to their self-confidence and self-esteem. Apparently, health and fitness are two of the most fulfilling goals worth achieving. Many people are aware of this. But still, quite a number have to contend with weight problems.

After all, obesity and being overweight has become an epidemic. There seems to be just so many factors which contribute to them. But for all the right reasons, weight loss is a worthy purpose, and it has to be achieved through healthy means. With all the schemes and fads to shed off pounds, one can be at a loss at which to resort to.

More often, people are impatient when it comes to losing pounds and inches. It has to be considered however that weight loss has to be slow and steady and permanent. This entails patience, discipline and dedication. But very few are up for the challenge of these. It takes will and initiative to trim down, and yes, weight loss motivation.





Motivation is what drives a person towards achieving their goal. They say the harder the goal is, the more motivation is needed. Arduous it may seem to achieve the goal, getting hold of it in the end would be sweeter. The same can be said with trimming down and the weight loss motivation it necessitates.

One may wake up one morning and then look in the mirror. The image of themselves being bulky and heavy may appear distasteful to them. And so they may have that urge to say that they need to lose all those flab and bulges. They set out to get a gym membership and then start going on a diet.

For a week or two or so, they become enthusiastic in the endeavor. “Hey, this is so easy to do”, they might even say. But that enthusiasm begins to wane as time goes by. It can be so easy to go back to one’s former eating habits. They could begin to miss the foods that they used to like eating, like desserts and junk food.

Exercise may be so enjoyable in the beginning, but one might slack off in time. What seems to be lacking here is weight loss motivation. How can one get weight loss motivation? There are inspirational and success stories for it, as well as quotes. Hypnosis as well can aid in giving motivation.

But more than these measures, weight loss motivation must start from within. One has to know from the beginning why their goal is worth achieving. And that at any cost, one should strive to achieve it. Motivation is more often a mental conditioning. It is the mind which sets the course for the total being to be driven towards something.

So for an effective weight loss motivation, one has to condition their mind. They should think of all the reasons why healthy weight loss is worth it in the long run. One could think of themselves basking in vitality and total health and living life to the fullest in the future.

Other than that, they would enjoy a more appealing physique. One should well envision themselves relishing the self-confidence which goes with their new persona. But then again, they should also know that all these take hard work. It is in knowing what one wants and then being up for the challenge of it which would fuel motivation.

This is worth applying both in weight loss and any other endeavor.
