 There has well been a renewed interest in holistic and natural healing in the recent years owing to the search of a significant number of individuals for a divergent route to health and wellness. No matter how one calls it- alternative healing, natural healing, energy healing or holistic healing- the appeal of such approaches and their philosophy has attracted a growing number of following.
Holistic or alternative medicine basically aims to deliver holistic wellness, and that is of the mind, body and spirit. Within the scope of holistic healing or what is known today as alternative healing is what is termed as crystal healing. The underlying principle behind crystal healing is that healing is a process of working with the energy field that surrounds the body. Through crystal healing, an individual can have added vitality and feel whole again as crystal healing unblocks the energy’s negative pattern by raising the vibrational frequency of the energy field surrounding the body.
What exactly is this energy field in which crystal healing is concerned about? The so called energy field is the energy of the soul and working with it is well regarded as the highest form of intervention a person can receive. This form of intervention may be the most efficient means of identifying and eliminating the root causes of both physical and psychological illnesses.
Crystal healing in this regard is capable of such means to attain holistic wellness as it is generally concerned with the body’s energy centers also known as the “chakras”. It is anticipated that an individual will feel tied or unwell once the chakras are not working correctly and crystal healing intends to rectify such an irregularity.
In some form or another, every society on earth practices crystal healing and many of such societies generally have deeply rooted belief systems supporting holistic methods and ideas. Disregarding such cultural foundation for crystal healing may well put this healing method in an area of faith and irrationality. It is either that an individual believes that crystal healing works or it does not and that is it.
One does not even take into account any logical explanation for crystal healing. But one should well consider that in crystal healing in some of its modality uses the sprinkling of ground crystals on wounds and to this day, scientists have proved that such an application is an effective bactericide.
There are those who believe that crystal healing has much more ancient beginnings dating back to the time of Atlantis and possibly even Lemuria. In the form of using stones such as hematite for blood disorders and headaches, ancient Greek healers such as Galen and Pliny may even have practiced crystal healing as those acclaimed historical persona believed in the tremendous potential of the healing properties contained within stones or crystals.
