 At times, it can be so confounding to find an individual harboring so much psychological or emotional burden. After going to so many therapists and taking medications and resorting through all sorts of conventional measures for treatment, why is it that in some cases, the problem still prevails? Apparently, the root cause has to be determined and one may find it astounding that it doesn’t have anything to do with this life.

By all means, past life regression belongs to a divergent path of healing called alternative medicine. To date, a barrage of skepticism may surround holistic and alternative approaches, but there are those who can attest that there is some truth to their principles and that their treatment modalities, although “bizarre” can be effective.
Take the case of a woman who opted to go through past life regression with an alternative practitioner. The woman, it would seem, had phobia of water and no other method was able to resolve her issue. And so she decided to take past life regression as a recourse. During her regression, she was able to recall being pushed into a canal by some men and having been drowned in it.
Such instance happened in her past life and through this information, her therapist was able to let her come to terms with her issue after which she was eventually liberated from her phobia. So what actually is this method called past life regression? Past life regression is a process wherein an individual is taken into hypnosis and encouraged through various suggestions to bring to back a past life and experiences during that lifetime.
The person undergoing past life regression describes details of an experience or experiences from their past life. “Regression” is the term applied for the experience of going back or regressing into the past. Past life regression has two distinct applications. Primarily, it is used for therapeutic reasons which is why it is referred to as “Past Life Healing”.
In instances wherein an individual has an issue which any other forms of therapeutic help has been proven ineffective, regression may just be able to resolve such a psychic muddle. The other use of past life regression is merely for recreational purposes such as when an individual is interested in discovering some details about their past life.
It can merely be out of curiosity or for entertainment that they want to gain knowledge of some scenario from their past life. The use of regression under this circumstance is evidently not for therapy but in the hands of an experienced and skillful hypnotherapist, one can still derive life lessons that they can find useful.
Depending on their purpose and their faith, one can find that past life regression is indeed a mystifying means to obtain healing.
