Fight Depression AND Obesity In One Stroke
Obesity is a major health
concern in the U.S. today.
It causes a myriad of problems
that can affect you physically
as well as mentally, such as
depression.
See how you can fight obesity
and depression here.
************************************************************
Which one really causes
the other?
Does depression cause
obesity or does obesity
cause depression.
The medical consensus
seem to be that people
who are obese may be
more likely to become
depressed and that people
who are depressed may
be more likely to be obese.
So I ask again which
came first?
But kidding aside, there are
strong indications that the
two work off one another.
Obesity can cause poor self-
image, low self-esteem, and
even social discrimination.
And for those suffering from
depression, they become
more obese as time goes on.
It's really a vicious cycle.
But there are ways to
alleviate the problem and
take care of the two at
one go.
************************************************************
1. Physical activities
Get your butt moving.
Do anything that will
get your blood moving.
It can be nothing more than
walking faster or simply
riding a bike.
Movement is the fastest way
to fight depression.
Guess what, so too with
obesity, because you'll be
burning calories while you
do it.
The good thing is, much
like how obesity feeds off
of depression or vice-versa
depending on the school
of thought you subscribe to,
as you begin to feel better
you'll find that you'll continue
with what you're doing.
By doing so you become fit,
which means you will start
to lose weight, and by losing
the weight you become more
confident, and so on and so
forth.
And that started just from
simply walking around the
block or in the park.

2. Eat food
Believe it or not you can fight
off depression by eating.
Of course it's not the willy
nilly eat anything kind
of eating.
It's all about setting up a diet
that will stave off depression
and obesity at the same time.
Let's face it, you are what you
eat. The food you eat dictates
how well your body and mind
function.
And it doesn't hurt if the food
you put in your mouth is
healthy does it?
No to processed foods
As much as possible stay
away from these types of
food.
They may contain chemicals
that are not good for your
body.
They may have the effect of
heightening your depression
or increasing your obesity.
No Coffee, soda and alcohol
I don't think I need to explain
why.
Caffeine makes you hyper
which is the opposite of
what depression needs.
Alcohol just makes you more
depressed.
And the sugars in sodas will
add to your obesity.
If you want to drink anything
water is your best friend.
It's calming and has the added
benefit of cleansing your body.
And it's calorie free as well.
Green is in
And by that I mean vegetables
and fruits. Healthy foods can
help you cleanse your mind
AND your body and gives you
the best source of nutrients
your body needs.

But what is important is
YOUR dedication to get
out of this situation.
It is important that you have
the mindset to fight your
depression and obesity.
