A healthy lifestyle can help
you become and stay
beautiful inside and out.

And the lifestyle is more
important than what your
chronological age is.

Living a healthy lifestyle means
being consciously aware of
the choices that you make,
making sure that they are
good for your body, mind
and spirit.

Remember the old adage:
You Are What You Eat?

I'm sure you do and I'm sure
you realize the truth about it.

It's the same as the other old
adage: Garbage In, Garbage
Out.

What this means for you is
if you eat junk food your body
becomes a junk repository.

The corollary to it is if you
eat healthy your body
becomes healthy.

Get the picture.

You want to become aware
of your eating habits.

This means keeping the
good habits and getting
rid of the bad ones.

Be conscious of the serving
size, the type of food you eat
and even how you prepare,
cook and eat your food.

Food that is low in fat content
is good. This also means little
or no fried foods. Steaming
or grilling is fine.

Eat more vegetables and fruits.
Also, don't forget grains.

If there are foods you can't
live without try finding a lower
calorie substitute for them.

Low sugar content is also
a good thing.

That means minimize or
get rid altogether soda and
other artificial beverages
and caffeinated drinks.

Instead drink the old standby:
WATER.

6 to 8 glasses will not only
refresh you but will also help
your body flush away those
toxins.

And speaking of flushing
away toxins, exercise is
a good way of doing that.

May exercise a part of your
daily routine.

I''m not talking about full
bench press and 5K
marathons.

No no no.

I'm talking about simple things
to do for starters such as brisk
walking, biking or even
swimming.

Basically, activities that keep
you moving would be my
recommendation.

Or any workout that you enjoy
doing.

Do it with friends and family
so not only will it be more fun,
you also get a support group
to help motivate you.

But it goes to waste if you
keep overdoing it with
certain habits like smoking
and drinking.

If you drink try and keep it
at moderation.

If you don't have to then don't.

Same with tobacco.

Best solution is NOT to start.
But if you already do try and
wean yourself off.

At the same time keep a
healthy mind as well.

Try and control stress as
it can detrimentally affect
your health.

Always keep a positive
outlook in life. You'll find
that this goes a long way
in giving you a better
quality of life.
