How To Properly Lose The Weight And Keep It Off

When it comes to losing
weight there is no super
quick fix or supper diet
pill or supplement that
will take care of it for
you.
Yes, you hear about these
new super diets that
supposedly work.
Yes they may work but
typically only for the
short term.
Let's face it the only way
you will really lose the weight,
other than liposuction, is for
you to consume less calories
than your body burns up.
The corollary to this is you
need to burn more calories
than you take in.
One or the other is all up
to you.
The first thing you need
to do is to calculate your
Basal Metabolic Rate or
BMR.
This shows you how much
calories your body needs
in order for it to function
properly.
At the same time calculate
how much calories you burn
based on your daily activities.
You can use a calorie
calculator for this.
However this won't be 100%
exact so you may need to
adjust as needed.
But don't forget you also
need to figure out how
many calories you take
in so you need to also
keep track of how many
calories you eat.
Once you have those
numbers, add your BMR
with your calories burned
and subtract your calories
intake.
If you find you are taking
in more than you're burning
up then you will gain weight.
Once you see the result
and you need to have
less calorie intake start
managing what you eat.
Go over the initial list that you
made on your calorie intake
and see which foods you can
reduce and which ones you
can cut out.
And if you really have foods
you want to keep see if there
are any healthier alternatives.
So instead of regular meats
choose lean meats instead.
And just because your
choosing lean doesn't
mean it will work if you
still eat a lot.
Also cut down on the portion
size. I'm not saying do it
suddenly but just do it.
Start by cutting it down by
a fourth and work from there.
And do graze, that is snack
on a regular basis.
This actually helps you lose
weight. Eat healthy and high
in fiber snacks.
And don't forget good old
fashion water.
Yes drinking plenty of water
not only helps your body
lose toxins but also helps
you lose weight.
Don't forget to exercise.
Simply dieting will not be
effective in the long run.
And once you start you need
to follow through and keep
on doing it.
And you don't need to start
with strenuous ones.
Walking for half an hour with
your dog is a good start.
Climbing stairs instead of
the elevator helps.
Of course if your office is
on the 10th floor you may
not tackle that until a little
later.
Start with one or two floors
first then work your way up -
no pun intended.
As you progress add weight
training to build muscles
and strengthen bones.
You also need to rest so take
breaks in between your
exercise regimen to give
your body time to catch up.
And don't think this will happen
overnight or even next week.
Remember what I said earlier:
there is no miracle cure.
While you may not see it you
will start to feel it work.
You just need the patience
and the motivation to keep
it up.
