Beautiful people are generally given more due and attention. After all, they possess attributes which are pleasing to the senses. That’s why everybody is in for the quest of beauty. Everybody wants to be noticed or at least acknowledged. And so they strive to look good and attractive. Women are especially compelled to be beautiful.
It is often the feminine which is the symbolic representation of beauty. Such is why there are women who become obsessed to be perfect and flawless and attractive. Lucky for those who can achieve them, but it may be unrealistic to do so. But many women hold on to the standards set by celebrities.

And so they strive for the unrealistic, and become bothered when they are unable to do so. Such an attitude is generally unhealthy as beauty does not necessarily mean perfection. Beauty is most of all about loving yourself and being happy with it. It is having a sense of freedom in being yourself and yes, being confident with it.
Sure, physical attributes matter, but what is essential is your totality as a person. Are you happy in general? Do you have meaningful and healthy relationships all around you? Do you take satisfaction in your career or vocation? The key is that you are content and happy with what you have.
All these will make you radiate with positivity. Sure you may not be glamorous, but you glow. You are beaming with positive energy and people love being with you. People are comfortable in your warm and genuine presence. It is not merely one-faceted beauty on the physical aspect. It is you as a person who is beautiful.
It means that you are a beautiful person, and it is something more substantial. So what really are beautiful people, and who are beautiful people? Are they those with flawless skin and stunning clothes? Are they those with impeccably symmetrical physical features? Those who are perfectly enhanced with make-up? Or perhaps those who enjoy immense popularity? Those are beautiful people in some aspects.
They do have their own characteristics which render them to have claim on beauty. But that does mean that you have to strive to be like them? And if you’re not, should you sulk and wallow in insignificance? Remember that you have your own right to beauty. It is when you see your own beauty that you become beautiful.
And what is your own beauty? Take time to see your own specialness and uniqueness. It doesn’t have to be on a grand scale. Just make it a point that you create beauty wherever you are. Then you would become beautiful. Speak kind words and reach out. Or connect with people and make a difference in their lives.
Radiate with a warm and welcoming personality and people will see something in you. Something real and genuine which is far more engaging than something superficial. This may not give you wide acclaim, but in your own way, you matter to people. You will be acknowledged in the sense that you are unique and that you are real as a person.
You don’t have to keep to the standards of what is popular, but rather bask in the pleasure of being your own beautiful you.
