Remain Earthbound - Skip The Celebrity Diets

Tags: , ,

As the pursuit of weight loss is basically within everybody’s agenda, it may not be surprising if there is an inundation of weight loss products, diet pills and fad diets of all shapes and sizes presented to the weight-obsessed populace. And being the obsessed horde that they are, they fall prey to the dubious claims of some of these products or diets. When one is under the fangs of desperation, they almost often fall into the trap of gullibility as well. And so those who are arduously searching for means to lose weight resort to what appears to be most appealing not taking into consideration the credibility of the measure or whether the claims rendered are realistic.

Oftentimes, it is also the appeal of the glamour attached to weight loss measures that draw a multitude of following on to their bandwagon. Take the case of . By celebrity diets, it generally refers to those recommended by celebrities. Celebrity diets are almost often low carb or low calorie diets which entail drastic weight loss and are not at all viable means to incorporate into one’s lifestyle on a long term basis. Many may well have heard of celebrity diets such as the infamous Original Hollywood Celebrity Diet drink which claims to make an individual lose close to 10 pounds in two days.

As much as such claims are astounding, the juice mix does make one go down nearly 10 pounds on the weighing scale. And who wouldn’t with a mere 400 calorie intake in a day? The foremost consideration with celebrity diets is that they are often unreasonable and unrealistic. It may not at all take so much aptitude but mere common sense to know that may just be well suited for celebrities. They live in a world where everything is about looking good and being glamorous. Suffice it to say that celebrity diets are not applicable for mere mortals like us.

Celebrity diets are for those gods and goddesses on Mount Olympus whom we see in the glamorous pages of magazines and billboards as well as the glitz of television and the big wide screen. Celebrity diets such as the raw food diet may well enable one to shed off a considerable number of calories but it may be worth taking into account that such diets are effective as they are perfectly prepared by chefs for the masters and the mistresses. When celebrity diets are endorsed by celebrities while evidently showing their svelte and perfect figure, it may be so tempting to believe that we can obtain the same results.

But the thing is, ordinary folks like us cannot afford private chefs nor personal trainers. Celebrity diets work for celebrities. Such diets have been so devised to cater to those whose livelihood solely depends on projecting perfection. Suffice it to say that celebrity diets are entirely for the purpose of looking good at all cost which means that such diets often disregard nutritional requirements nor are they mindful of the health detriments that they entail. So one might well skip those , get real and remain earthbound.
