The word “core” by definition means the center, the central part, the meat or substance of the matter or the essence of a given subject on hand. In exercise, there is core conditioning and there are . “Core conditioning” being the latest in fitness vocabulary and “core exercises” being the widest in acceptance throughout the fitness world. Both unfortunately have yet to be done properly hampered by lack of hands-on teaching and comprehensive understanding of what core conditioning and core exercises are all about. There has been apparent confusion on both particularly on the extent of exercise passed off as core conditioning and core exercises.

In a nutshell, core conditioning practically is a workout of the body from groin to shoulders that provides flexibility, stability and balance to all of the body’s movements.
