The Perennial Quest For Peace Of Mind

Tags: , ,

Spiritual adepts seem to constantly advocate the significance of . By this it means inner balance, or tranquility which comes from deep within. Within the mind is the soul, they say. And it is the mind and the soul which have the absolute say on an individual’s lot. When one aims on achieving personal success, they should initially work on the mind and the soul. All else will follow. This is where peace of mind comes in. Happiness is a purely subjective matter. But perhaps there is that one ultimate factor which leads to happiness- peace of mind.

It is the mind which gains total control over the being. When the mind is in a disarray, one should well expect everything else to be. Along with the constant search for happiness is the perennial quest for peace of mind. Those two always go hand in hand. But what of happiness and peace of mind? How can one achieve either one or both? Everything is in the mind, they say. All things are simply a matter of perception. When one has everything and yet thinks otherwise, then they have imposed the verdict upon themselves. The contrary is also true pertaining to this.

Even when one is wanting in so many aspects and yet believes that they are happy, then so it is. It simply signifies how crucial thoughts are. Or what the mind dictates. Or what they dictate to the mind. Living with peace of mind is a state almost everybody aims for. The state of having inner peace is entirely a spiritual quest. True is a well-spring that comes from within. It is an inner state of spiritual abundance which makes one overflow. A multitude is living a life contrary to one with peace of mind. Especially in the current setting where everything is becoming progressively complex.

All the more is everybody’s quest for peace of mind becoming so ardent. Some search for inner peace through religion. Others go on a spiritual sojourn. There are those who adhere to spiritual practices such as yoga and meditation. Still others seek spiritual counsel. Others believe they can find peace of mind through therapy. Peace of mind initially has to do with being at peace with oneself. As a manifestation of inner peace one also becomes in harmony with others. The spiritual strongly believe that inner peace is achieved by being conglomerated with a higher power. Peace of mind is when one finds their own truth to live by.

It is in keeping to this personal truth and principles that one gains inner peace. When one defies their own truth, it is then that their peace of mind is compromised. Peace of mind all goes down to being attuned to oneself. It is achieved when one is integrated as a total being, as a whole. It is often through personal experiences and realizations that one attains inner peace. And as much as is a state of silent tranquility, it is strength in itself which can withstand the poundings of the waves of turmoil.
