Obesity brings many disadvantages to a person. Primarily, it has to do with the aesthetic. Society now views “slim and trim” to be more attractive, which brings about feelings of low self-esteem to overweight or obese people. And then there is the more threatening consequence of obesity which are the health risks it puts a person to. Obesity can shorten the life span of a person, or cause fatality early on.
